Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee project controls and management for a multi-discipline EPC project, including direct support for installed quantity monitoring, contract administration, and project reporting. Create quantity calculation formulas, develop work plans, and manage the compilation of daily labor timesheets and procurement status reports. Lead jobsite safety reviews, train crews on Job Safety Analysis, and supervise subcontractor operations while acting as the primary company representative. Direct Field Engineers to prepare data for submittals, review purchase orders, and administer subcontract functions. Manage all project recordkeeping, generate change orders, and drive the planning process through master schedules and manpower curves. Administer accounting updates, lead the budgeting process, and establish cashflow forecasts to ensure positive project performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights

- Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions
- May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks
- Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals
- Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions
- This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
- Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas
- Keep good balance and work at heights
- Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing
