Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee and execute project controls and management for a multi-discipline EPC project, including direct support for installed quantity monitoring, contract administration, procurement, and project reporting. Represent the company professionally in all client interactions while interfacing with engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors to manage strategic communication. Lead field operations by supervising a team of engineers and up to 100 crew members, directing work plans, managing daily labor timesheets, and coordinating material deliveries. Create and monitor master project schedules, generate change orders, and administer cost forecasting to ensure positive cashflow. Champion corporate safety plans, conduct site reviews, and train crews on job safety analyses. Work up to 12-hour shifts across varying climates, with up to 90% travel time and an average project duration of 8-18 months.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months.)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
