Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer for specialty fenestration products. Independently evaluate fenestration assemblies for windstorm, ballistic, blast, and forced-entry resistance; develop certification documentation; serve as a primary technical liaison with clients; provide subject-matter expertise in one or more product categories; mentor junior technical staff; travel as dictated by business needs (approximately 15%); conduct research of building codes and product standards to identify qualification requirements; communicate project status, test results, and technical findings to clients, sales, and management; generate certification documents based on testing and analytical review; participate in industry standards committees and professional associations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field
- 4-6 years of directly related experience
- Experience with U.S., Canadian, or international product safety standards (e.g., ASTM, NFPA, UL/ULC)
- Willingness and ability to travel as business needs dictate
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required
