Job Summary
Lead internal execution of engineering project deliverables for Unmanned Aerial System with ownership and focus on driving outcomes. Develop and manage engineering project plans, provide inputs to Business Development for new opportunities, review contractual deliverables to define NRE scope, coordinate with engineering leads for detailed execution plans, inform Program Management of the Integrated Master Schedule, and manage timelines with tools like JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Teams. Chair IPT meetings to align cross-discipline progress, lead standard phase gate Design Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, FDR), employ structured 8D problem solving to identify Root Cause and implement corrective action, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires deep ISO 9001/AS9100 experience, strong communication, data-driven reporting, risk assessment, and a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Education includes a BS in relevant engineering field with a Master's preferred; PMP preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent
- Master's Degree in Engineering preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- 10 years of relevant experience leading teams in development of aircraft/UAS or complex electro-mechanical systems
- Experience with MBSE, flight testing, JIRA task management
- Top Secret/SCI Government Security Clearance required
