Sr Project Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information by breaking projects into actionable tasks and setting timeframes. Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate project execution, assign tasks to internal teams, and communicate project status to all parties. Assist with schedule management, budget preparation, and risk analysis while monitoring project progress and addressing issues through proper escalation. Work with the Program Manager to remove roadblocks and use tools to control performance, plans, and expenditures. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and status reports, including monitoring procurement completion progress and parts demand deliverables. Requires a Secret U.S. Security Clearance, 6+ years of experience, and strong MS Office skills. This role supports the U.S. Air Force's Survivable Airborne Operations Center mission to modernize next-generation aircraft.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 6+ years of experience in a related field
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
- Expert understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Fundamental MS Office Skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Demonstrated ownership of tasks, organization skills and attention to detail
- Possess strong communication and client-facing, teamwork skills
- Functional understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Demonstrated ownership of tasks, organization skills, and ability to parse large data sets into critical items that need tactical intervention
- Possess strong communication skills; ability to rally cross-functional teams in issue resolution discussions and use curious factfinding to discern appropriate and necessary items from the noise
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship status
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
- Strong hand/finger dexterity for typing and document handling
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) over non-labor scope or other demonstrated experience managing schedule/budget for discrete scope
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
- Advanced certification in Project Management [e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP)]
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aircraft/Aerospace, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, particularly commercial aircraft and/or roles centering or adjacent to materials acquisition
- Prior Experience with: Development of proposals to include administrative tasks as assigned
- Data entry into Project Management (PM) Systems
- Collaborating with internal Leadership, vendors, suppliers, other stakeholders, and internal teams, such as Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Tech Leads, and Project Administrators (PAs) to ensure program activities will accomplish objectives
- Conflict resolution especially those related to resource assignments
- Monitoring project progress against baseline schedule and facilitating process improvement initiatives
