Job Summary
Lead complex technical, manufacturing, and/or government programs from contract award through delivery, acceptance, and closeout by establishing program organizations and serving as the primary communication bridge between customers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Own scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables while coordinating proposal development, contract negotiations, and cross-functional execution across Product Engineering and Manufacturing. Prepare written reports for management and customers, manage action item trackers and risk registers, and drive corrective actions for quality defects. Participate in RFP responses and cost estimating, ensuring contractual requirements are met throughout the Pursuit, Design, and Production phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, project management, engineering or related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Program Management, project management, engineering coordination, manufacturing programs, defense programs, or other complex technical environments
- Ability to obtain a DoD issued security clearance
- Strong understanding of government contract execution, including statements of work, specifications, CDRLs, customer reviews, formal deliverables, contractual milestones, and change management
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, customer-driven actions, schedule pressure, and multiple program deliverables
- Ability to drive accountability across internal teams and external partners while maintaining strong working relationships
- Managing contracts and subcontracts with various types and complexities, including military and government contracts
- Prior proposal support experience to include supporting responses to RFPs or RFIs as well as participating in cost estimating
- Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare customer correspondence, meeting minutes, program reports, executive summaries, technical status updates, and management briefings
- Strong business judgment with the ability to balance customer satisfaction, contractual obligations, technical execution, schedule performance, financial performance, and company risk
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading U.S. Government, Department of Defense, Navy, prime contractor, or similar defense customer programs
- PMP certification
- Proficiency in data and program management tools such as Jira and Microsoft Project
