Job Summary
Lead freight forwarder strategy development by analyzing Korea-Taiwan air and ocean freight markets to source lanes across North, East, and South China. Manage freight forwarder performance through SLA reporting, vendor visits, and contract optimization to balance cost, transit time, and service quality. Drive business growth by achieving quarterly volume and cost targets through new service offerings and enhancing commercial management tools for operational efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, IT, and Operations to support the Coupang Direct Inbound team's long-term capability building.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight procurement, ocean carrier procurement, airline procurement, freight forwarding, or related logistics functions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, diagnose issues, and develop effective business solutions
- Deep understanding of the international freight forwarding industry, particularly Asia ocean freight networks
- Proven project management experience
- Fluent English communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to coordinate both internal and external partners
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with leading cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Temu, TikTok Shop, SHEIN, Amazon, or Alibaba
