Job Summary
Lead assigned projects from planning through closing, serving as the primary customer interface and focal point for contract, sales, and SOW compliance. Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope while developing comprehensive Program Management Plans including resource, schedule, and cash flow analysis. Actively cultivate relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams, negotiate contract modifications, and assemble cross-functional teams for engineering, production, and logistics. Coordinate interdepartmental tasks to meet program goals, assess and mitigate risks, and provide strategic oversight and mentorship to team members. Chair lessons learned meetings post-program and standardize management processes. Requires PMP certification, 10+ years of industry experience, and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related technical experience
- 10+ years of Industry (engineering, aircraft manufacturing, modification or operations) experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in aircraft supervisory/management
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, inspection aides and test equipment
- Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office, Project software and other company and discipline specific software applications
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan work
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed
- Read, write, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures and manuals
- Occasional travel; the employee filling this position must be willing to travel on short notice and possibly for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an engineering, interiors completion center or repair station environment is preferred
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) strongly preferred
