Job Summary
Develop and maintain a profitable book of Human Services business within an assigned territory through marketing and underwriting processes. Evaluate submitted applications for appetite acceptability, assess risk, and determine premium, terms, and conditions in accordance with Letter of Authority for new and renewal business. Manage relationships with assigned producers to handle submission, quote, and bind activity while delivering on Service Level Agreement commitments. Complete underwriting checklists outlining thought process, loss analysis, and pricing theory. Maintain records in Salesforce, Clearance, and BPMi, prepare required reports, and act as a liaison between independent agents, claims adjusters, and internal teams. Handle endorsement requests, provide policy issuance instructions, and mentor department members. Meet or communicate with marketing personnel to share competitive information and support relationships. Requires minimum of 7 years multi-line underwriting experience, valid driver's license, and up to 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 7 years of multi-line underwriting and marketing experience
- Knowledge of insurance rating, structure, forms and coverages
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Travel: up to 20%
