Sr Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Lead and optimize daily production activities on the second shift at ABB's Mebane, NC site, overseeing 25-100 production personnel, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and KPIs are met while coordinating shift operations. Drive production planning, capacity planning, and bottleneck resolution, propose equipment/facility improvements, and implement actions to enhance performance. Emphasize adherence to safety and quality systems (ISO 9001, OSHA/HSE) and apply lean principles and continuous improvement to sustain on-time delivery and optimal production efficiency. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with experience in ERP and MS Office are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience in operations, manufacturing, or production including minimum 5 years in supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems for switchgear products
- Proficiency in quality management systems (ISO 9001) and understanding of quality assurance protocols
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, OSHA compliance, and HSE standards
- Proven ability to manage and motivate large teams (25-100+ personnel)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
