Job Summary
Provide manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance to facilitate disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines at the MRO facility. Lead teams reviewing process breakdowns, performing root cause analysis, and approving complex work control documents. Develop standard work procedures, train mechanics on new technical data, and aggregate production data to drive metrics. Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations while building partnerships with external vendors. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and an active DoD Secret security clearance. Must work the 1st shift (0700-1600) with flexibility for weekends and off-hours. Salary range $86,800 - $165,200 USD.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Program access for F119 and F135
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline
- A minimum 5 years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience
- Master's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university with minimum 3 years of the same experience
- Willingness to work 1st shift (0700-1600)
- Willingness to work extra time including weekends as necessary
- Willingness to be called in off-hours to answer job-related questions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP
- Operational experience in an MRO engine facility
- At least 2 years of experience writing concise, easy-to-understand technical work instructions
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Process or manufacturing experience on gas-turbine engines
- Working knowledge of water-jet systems, vision systems, peripheral sensors, and their construction and processes
- Familiarity with production/industrial robots, automated systems, and coating applications
- Experience in high-temperature plasma spray coating operations
- Coating development experience
