Job Summary
Lead end-to-end delivery of applications and frameworks for the GED/Synthetic Prime technology platform, with deep derivatives knowledge and strong collaboration across front office, risk, finance, and technology. Design, develop, and enhance system integration with Sophis/SwapOne vendor platforms and in-house analytics libraries; improve trade capture, market data, life-cycle tooling, and risk/P&L metrics (vega, gamma ladders, spot/volatility, and correlations) for equity derivative products. Drive performance and scalability of compute infrastructure via cloud technologies (AKS, RAY), GPU acceleration, and pricing mechanisms. Build and maintain a high-performance, real-time valuation service and trading platform using microservices; provide L3 SME support for overnight pricing, P&L, and risk issues. Promote collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing, while fostering a diverse, inclusive environment. Required education and experience emphasize capital markets, derivatives knowledge, Python, databases, APIs, and a strong software engineering discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent professional experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Capital Markets, supporting equity derivatives trading desks or equivalent
- Proficiency in Python, SQL (Oracle, SQL Server), MongoDB, REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON/XML
- Strong understanding of software engineering, CI/CD, and SDLC
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence stakeholders
- Experience with cloud computing, data platforms, delivery pipelines, and analytics
- Experience with vendor cross-asset trade processing platforms, especially Sophis and SwapOne (preferred)
- Familiarity with multiple programming languages (C#, C++, JavaScript) (nice to have)
- Bachelor-level education with advanced qualifications like CFA/FRM (advantageous)
- Ability to interpret, design, and construct risk and P&L metrics (vega, gamma ladders, spot/volatility, correlations)
- Experience developing real-time, scalable trading platforms and valuation services using microservices
- Experience collaborating with front office, risk, finance, and technology teams
- Ability to lead end-to-end delivery of applications and frameworks for GED/Synthetic Prime
