Sr Product Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer on ESPN/Disney Entertainment Product & Technology leading the design, development, and ownership of platform services in a distributed live-sports data environment. Build and maintain features end-to-end using Java/JVM, Spring Boot, and data/streaming stacks (Kafka, MongoDB), while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address performance, scalability, and resiliency. Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing, contribute to architectural direction, and drive technical quality across the codebase. Focus areas include live sports data delivery to Web, Mobile, and Living Room devices; production ownership (monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response); and ongoing adoption of emerging technologies (GraphQL, AWS services, CI/CD, observability tooling). Education requirement includes a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; senior-level responsibilities and a minimum of 5+ years professional experience expected. The role is based in Bristol, CT, USA, and is a full-time position.
