Job Summary
Senior Engineer role contributing to backend (Java Spring Boot) and frontend (Vue.js) development for Disney’s streaming, digital products, advertising, and content distribution platforms. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable full-stack applications, performing code reviews, mentoring peers, optimizing performance, ensuring architectural and security standards, and collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of full stack development experience
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and Vue.js frameworks
- Experience building scalable back-end and front-end solutions for large-scale, high-traffic applications
- Hands-on experience in agile development environments
- Experience integrating UI components with RESTful APIs
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and VueJS frameworks
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed caching, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with containerization and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to translate business and design requirements into performant, maintainable solutions
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
