Job Summary
Sr. Product Operations Manager at Axon responsible for the full lifecycle management of the drone and Sky-Hero product portfolio, including quality metrics, field performance, RMA thresholds, defect tolerances, escalation paths, corrective action playbooks, and lifecycle decisions. Owns product economics, SKU architecture, pricing, bundles, and ROI validation; coordinates cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Finance, and Customer Success to resolve high-impact issues and de-escalate customer situations. Manages sustaining engineering and post-launch optimization, sets product strategy with the Product Management lead, and builds readiness for new product launches and markets. Travel onsite to customer locations to address critical situations and support revenue and customer satisfaction across current and future product lines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or business, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of relevant Product Operations Management experience ideally working with technology in an operational environment
- Proactive and self-propelled working style, comfortable working through ambiguity and seeking out new directions to solve the higher-level mission and goals
- Background spanning operations, project management, and engineering — experience in roles such as production planner, process/manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, or production supervisor strongly preferred
- Experience solving hard user interaction problems with creative solutions that deliver easy/simple customer experiences
- Experience working with engineers to balance scope, time to market, and functionality, making tough trade-offs using qualitative, quantitative, and many times incomplete data
- Excellent problem solving skills, well-structured written and verbal communication
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally when necessary (5-10%)
- Nice to have: Technical expertise in design, operation, or back-end support of robots
- Experience working directly with governmental agencies (Local, State or Federal)
- Degree in a STEM Field
