Sr. Product Manager (m/f/d) - Material Science

Job Summary
Sr. Product Manager in Material Science responsible for end-to-end product ownership of microscope systems (HW/SW), driving strategic direction, lifecycle management, and profitability. Lead global product strategies with cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, operations, commercial), influence product roadmaps with engineering leadership, manage pricing, margins and business case development, and champion go-to-market excellence including positioning, messaging and internal/external training. Represent the product line globally, monitor market and technology trends, synthesize insights for portfolio prioritization, and collaborate with regional teams to drive adoption and market success. Requires proven leadership in product ownership, strong business acumen for revenue growth and profitability, technical proficiency related to Material Science imaging and industrial microscopy, Agile experience, and ability to operate in a global matrix organization. Travel up to 30%; fluent English is required, with additional language skills considered an advantage. Graduation with a minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or science; Master’s or MBA preferred; 10+ years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical product development, product management or sales
- Microscopic imaging systems experience strongly preferred
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., German, French, Japanese) is an added advantage
- Travel up to 30% internationally
