Job Summary
Formulate and evolve the roadmap for Assisted Autonomy, balancing near-term deployment milestones with long-term scalability while assessing market trends and evaluating Kodiak's capabilities to unify cross-functional teams behind a clear strategy. Establish and monitor KPIs to prioritize failure modes and features that improve overall safety, then define and prioritize requirements with engineering and operations partners. Evaluate releases for acceptance and partner closely with Ops teams on field deployment, process optimization, and the creation of effective training materials. Drive product improvements across software interfaces and physical hardware integrations, acting as the central node between Engineering, Operations, Safety, and external customers to provide clear updates on feature development and market readiness. Travel up to 25% to visit commercial deployment locations and gather direct operational feedback.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience
- ideally in environments that blend software and hardware
- Demonstrated success in defining & launching end-user-facing high-tech products through the full lifecycle to customers at scale
- Strong B2C UX/design experience
- demonstrating an ability to build highly usable interfaces for teleoperations and human-in-the-loop workflows, including for non-technical users
- Ability to think deeply and communicate clearly about data and KPIs, and how they inform product prioritization
- Technical degree (master's degree or above in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field)
- or equivalent practical work experience
- Prior experience in assisted autonomy, autonomous vehicles (AV), or robotics
- Startup experience
- Up to 25% travel required to visit Kodiak commercial deployment locations to listen to customers and gather direct operational feedback
