Job Summary
Sr Product Engineer responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing capabilities and processes for Class 3 space-grade PCB assemblies. Develops and validates processes, maintains equipment readiness, resolves issues to meet quality, delivery, and cost goals, and leads cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to design and documentation procedures tailored to space-grade projects. Communicates build readiness, risks, and technical updates clearly through email, teleconferences, and in-person meetings. Key focus areas include process validation, equipment readiness, rapid decision-making on manufacturing floor to minimize downtime, and applying knowledge of SMT, PTH, conformal coating, and underfill to high-reliability PCB builds in aerospace contexts.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related experience in electronics manufacturing, aerospace electronics, PCB assembly, or high-reliability production environments
- Ability to make quick decisions on a manufacturing floor that minimize downtime and maintain quality
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as SMT, PTH, conformal coating, and underfill
- Experience working with Class 3 electronics, space-grade hardware, or high-reliability PCB builds (highly preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with experience using SPC tools, measurement equipment, and lab/test instrumentation
- Ability to act as a leader across engineering, operations, quality, and customer-facing teams
- Ability to communicate build readiness, risks, and technical updates via email, teleconferences, and in-person meetings
