Sr Product Development Manager

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end product development for dietary supplements, driving research and development from concept to production. Leverage expertise in ingredient functionality and nutrition principles to optimize new and existing products, coordinate with procurement for ingredient sourcing, collaborate with customers on development using active ingredients, and ensure QA/compliance with FDA and GMP standards. Manage projects from bench to operation batch scale, evaluate nutrition value, color, taste, and texture, and build relationships with suppliers. May involve supervisory responsibilities and up to 20% travel to support cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in food science, nutrition, chemistry, engineering, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in R&D for food, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Specific experience in food or supplement formulation and manufacturing (preferred)
- Significant experience with FDA and GMP regulatory standards, focused on 21 CFR Part 111 or 117 (preferred)
- Strong understanding of laboratory practices and testing requirements
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
- Ability to work with allergens as defined by the FDA (milk, eggs, fish, Crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans)
