Job Summary
Explore ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces by generating concepts, stress-testing assumptions, and defining interaction models before a clear path exists. Build end-to-end flows, sketches, and prototypes ranging from rough explorations to polished, shippable UI that simplify complex AI-powered capabilities for everyday document users. Champion a strong point of view grounded in user research and data, advocating clearly even when direction is still forming. Collaborate closely with research, product management, engineering, and content strategy to ensure alignment and move work forward rapidly. Influence partners and leadership through compelling storytelling and confident presentation of build rationale. Drive alignment and elevate designcraft while contributing to the growth of teammates.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of product design experience, or a related degree with equivalent practical experience
- A portfolio demonstrating strong UX and visual design across responsive, multi-surface experiences
- Experience working in early-stage, exploratory, or 0-to-1 product spaces — where the problem is as undefined as the solution
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make progress without a clear brief or complete information
- Strong visual and interaction craft, with the range to move from rough explorations to polished, shippable UI
- Proficiency in Figma and ability to convey ideas through prototyping in Figma, Cursor, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills and solid grounding in core UX principles and methodologies
- Empathy for both customers and teammates, with a process rooted in listening and understanding
- Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product experiences
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities
- Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards
- Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP
