SR Product Design Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Product Design Engineer leads design and development of complex mechanical systems from concept through production, producing detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD, reviewing designs for engineering principles and customer requirements, implementing Engineering Change procedures, and mentoring junior drafters and engineers. Requires experience with wear materials and heavy equipment manufacturing processes, strong communication with technical/non-technical personnel, and ability to perform on-site equipment assessments; travel ~10% to support customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BS)
- Associates of Applied Sciences in Mechanical Drafting and Design (AAS) or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in design and fabrication of steel welded products in the aggregate, mining, or pulp and paper industry
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and Inventor
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, fastening and welding practices, and manufacturing drawing standards
- Ability to travel domestically ~10% and occasional travel to job sites, plants, mills or quarries
