Job Summary
Senior Producer for CNN's subscription service responsible for shooting, editing and crafting VOD content. Leads editorial development and execution of ambitious video projects, writes scripts with visual pacing in mind, develops longform or serialized formats, translates editorial goals into compelling video treatments, and manages multi-part projects with tight production schedules and budgets. Drives cross-functional collaboration with design, tech, audience development and product to deliver content aligned with audience strategy and brand standards; ensures quality control for storytelling, brand voice and production consistency; actively participates in experimentation of format, tone, and visual treatment to evolve storytelling craft.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, technical production, or relevant professional work experience
- 8+ years of progressively complex editorial video experience
- Proven track record of developing and executing editorial video formats
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional partnership
- Ability to work late nights, weekends and holidays as deadlines warrant
- Proven editorial judgment and knowledge of editorial functions such as story pitching, field production, shot selection, scripting
