Job Summary
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer Architect at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL. Create and analyze architecture, CONOPS, and use cases using model-based systems engineering (MBSE); perform functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and requirements allocation/verification; decompose functions and define data flows; generate SysML/DODAF viewpoints and support architecture development across aircraft/defense domains. Requires DoD Top Secret clearance, relocation (if applicable), and travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in a STEM discipline with 9 years of engineering-related experience, OR Master’s in STEM with 7 years of experience OR Doctorate in STEM with 4 years of experience
- Experience with model development using DODAF or SysML
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance (Interim required to start)
- Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Magic Draw or alternatives like Rhapsody, Sparx EA, and Enterprise Architect
- Foundation in Model Based Systems Engineering and Architecture Development
