Job Summary
Sr. Principal Systems Administrator Lead, 100% onsite in Massachusetts, responsible for managing a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux server infrastructure across classified programs. Lead a team of system administrators, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with Cybersecurity to ensure compliance with security requirements. Duties include configuring administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning performance, and deploying enterprise software; participate in Change Request reviews and the Change Management Board; coordinate technical and process document reviews; and represent the organization in technical meetings. Role requires 24x7 operations readiness, potential travel to other US locations (up to 10%), and ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearances (Secret). Relocation assistance is available to eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required on day 1.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have working experience with Active Directory Domain Services, VMware vCenter or vSphere, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Client and Server, TCP/IP, DNS.
- Must have experience in leading and mentoring both individuals and teams.
