Job Summary
Lead supplier quality assurance activities across major suppliers, oversee supplier quality risk management, and ensure contractual/regulatory/technical compliance. Responsible for supplier quality evaluation and control systems, product/process verification, monitoring of supplier performance, and driving root-cause corrective actions. Manage waivers/deviations/discrepancy reporting, coordinate supplier quality plan implementations through program phases, and participate in supplier evaluation/qualification as part of the Business Acquisition Process. Role involves on-site work in Roy, UT or telecommuter capability in Chandler, AZ, with up to 50% travel across programs. Requires strong experience with AS9100/ISO9001, procurement quality methods, and the ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and management; candidates typically hold a Bachelor's in Science (or higher) and have 6–8+ years of relevant experience depending on degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Science degree OR Master's degree OR PhD with required years (per posting)
- 8+ years of relevant experience OR 6+ years with Master's OR 4+ years with PhD
- Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Experience interfacing with suppliers/customers/teams/management
- Experience developing, planning, and implementing quality methods for procured items
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret U.S. Government DoD security clearance
- Preferred: lead auditor experience, aerospace/defense supplier experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
