Job Summary
Senior Principal Software Engineer for Core Platform Engineering. Leads cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality production-grade software on cloud platforms. Crafts complex, reusable software frameworks, advises on technology choices to achieve target state architecture, and acts as a go-to subject matter expert. Responsibilities include developing secure production code, reviewing others' code, driving platform and infrastructure engineering for large-scale multi-tenant cloud environments, and aligning technical roadmaps with business needs while communicating effectively with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- Strong platform and infrastructure engineering experience, especially experience developing and running large scale multi-tenant cloud infrastructure and platforms
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expert Expertise in one or more programming language(s), e.g. Golang, Java
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to senior leaders and executives
- Practical cloud native experience across one or more public cloud providers e.g. AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Deep knowledge on Terraform, Pulumi, Helm charts, Kubernetes
