Job Summary
As a Sr. Principal Software Architect (AI) at OpenText, you will lead the design and development of AI solutions, focusing on building modern RAG and agentic systems. You will work hands-on to create prototypes, guide teams in AI lifecycle best practices, and advise on prompt engineering and evaluation strategies. The role demands significant experience in enterprise AI solutions, a strong grasp of AI technologies and frameworks, and the ability to implement best practices for production-ready designs.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience in principal or architect-level roles
- Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and orchestration patterns
- Proven ability to prototype and build proof-of-concepts
- Ability to explain complex AI architecture decisions clearly
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience with Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, Java
- Experience building and evolving enterprise AI solutions
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end AI lifecycle
- Ability to evaluate and improve AI systems for quality and reliability
