Job Summary
Define and execute long-range technology roadmaps for advanced electroplating processes and metallurgical innovations supporting future MEMS probe technologies. Lead research, evaluation, and implementation of novel materials and deposition technologies to improve electrical, thermal, mechanical, and reliability performance. Design and execute complex Design of Experiments to optimize advanced metallurgical solutions, while performing advanced materials characterization using SEM, EDS, FIB, and microscopy to evaluate composition and microstructure. This role requires balancing long-term technology development with hands-on process characterization and problem solving. You will lead root cause investigations involving plating defects and reliability concerns, apply first-principles engineering to solve complex electrochemical issues, and drive improvements in yield, process capability, and manufacturing robustness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence product direction and present technical findings to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 6 years and a Master's degree
- PhD with 3 years experience
