Sr. Principal, Manufacturing Science, & Technology Engineering

Oversee multiple technical projects, ensuring goals are met through specialized expertise and technological innovation. Develop, implement, and evaluate new production materials, equipment, and technologies before mass production. Perform technical feasibility tests to ensure production efficiency and lead the identification, evaluation, and approval of suppliers for new and alternative raw materials. Coordinate material equivalency studies, comparability assessments, and change control activities while partnering with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to define qualification requirements. Establish enterprise-wide processes and decision models to support technical assessments and risk-based assessments for material changes. This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging, and materials across the business to deliver brilliant outcomes in global eye health.
