Job Summary
Support System Requirements Review (SRR) and Preliminary Design Review (PDR) for new development projects while working with engineers on system design, traceability, data analysis, and failure resolution. Independently develop automation methods for design and testing documentation, produce artifacts for design reviews, and coordinate software interfaces across multiple contracts. Host and attend working group meetings, prepare materials for Engineering Design Reviews, and provide technical approval as required. Brief stakeholders on architecture defects and systems engineering milestones, including requirements decomposition and verification planning. This role is based full-time on-site in San Diego or Palmdale, CA, with up to 10% travel required. Candidates must possess a Top Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, or equivalent advanced degrees with fewer years.

- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience
- Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience
- PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience
- Understanding of the application and development of Interface Control artifacts and requirements in large systems
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR)
- Ability to obtain and maintain subsequent SAP PARs following commencement of employment
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Strong critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills
- Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Ability to identify moderate architecture defects in presentation material
- Experience supporting Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and Critical Design Review (CDR)
- Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, test planning, requirements verification and Coordinate verification plans among various IPTs
- Engineering degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics
- Advanced Degree, Master's or PhD
- Experience working on military aircraft / spacecraft systems
- Experience providing analysis and engineering support to new business development and proposal activities
- Experience in system architecture and Concept of Operations (CONOPs)
- Experience in Interface Control Document (ICD) development and integration
- Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders
