Job Summary
Senior Principal Systems Modeling & Simulation Engineer to design readiness and cost-improvement solutions for aircraft sustainment on the E-2D Hawkeye program. Responsibilities include performing cost analysis across development, production, operations & support; readiness and reliability improvements; spares forecasting and fleet readiness modeling; obsolescence forecasting; Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); and spares modeling. The role requires interfacing with Air Vehicle, Avionics, Systems Engineering, R&M, DMS, Supplier design engineers and the US Navy to collect data and strategize solutions. Candidates should demonstrate skills in statistics, simulation modeling, trend and sensitivity analysis, data sampling, and computing; travel up to 10% may be required; interim secret clearance is required; the position is onsite in Melbourne, FL with strong communication and writing abilities and proficiency in Microsoft tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant military/professional experience, OR a Master's degree in a STEM field and at least 6 years of relevant military/professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 4 years of relevant military/professional experience
- Understanding of basic reliability/maintainability data and statistical analysis
- Familiarity with LORA and spares modeling
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government secret clearance
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Tools
