Job Summary
Sr Principal Engineer, Manufacturing (remote) within NGMS Marine Systems, supporting Global Supply Chain Supplier Management. Responsible for managing and interpreting supplier/subcontractor schedules to understand program impact, maintaining an integrated master schedule, managing schedule risks and opportunities, developing and maintaining SMT rail/action item tracker, overseeing supplier performance, open orders, delivery, and dock dates, defining material strategy for on-time delivery, defining subcontractor scope to ensure work performed, analyzing changes to balance technical, cost, schedule, and quality requirements, developing alternatives to address program needs, supporting development of NGMS SSOW with stakeholders, handling subcontract uncertainty, assisting in generating technical content for RFIs/RFPs, and evaluating supplier proposals and contracts. Preferred experience includes strategic direction in Program Management or Supply Chain products/processes, EVM/CAM experience, defect/problem resolution across manufacturing and engineering disciplines, and cross-functional collaboration. Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, program management, business management or related; or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, program management, business management or related, or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
- At least 3 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and/or large supplier management portfolio experience in other industries
- At least 2 years of financial experience in EVMS or similar cost and schedule management systems
- At least 2 years of experience managing a Program effort or Major Subcontract (in either a supply chain, SMT, or program/project management role)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
