Job Summary
Design, develop, and integrate ROS2-based autonomy software, including motion planning, computer vision, and sensor processing algorithms for active safety and unmanned ground vehicle control systems. Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and software development while writing requirements and design documentation. Develop unit and regression tests, mentor junior engineers, and support suppliers and other departments to execute job assignments meeting industry standards. Autonomously deliver portions of the overall application, including travel to off-site locations as necessary. This role supports JLG's design and development of advanced driver assistance systems within the access market.
Required Qualifications
- You produce high quality and maintainable C++ code
- Proficiency in ROS2-based software development within complex application
- Experience working on real world autonomous application as key contributor
- Elevated proficiency with Ubuntu 22.04+ OS
- Elevated proficiency with distributed systems
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- six (6) or more years of related experience
- Regular attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering
- Real world autonomy projects experience as key contributor
- Track record of project leadership or innovative solutions designs
