Job Summary
Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and assessing security controls and policies to ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF; providing advanced technical analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges, supporting security architecture implementation, and participating in reviews of requirements, design, and implementation plans; requires active TS/SCI with polygraph, and certifications such as Security+ CE, CISSP, or CASP, with experience in Rapid 7, Trellix, and Splunk; travel up to 10% and relocation assistance may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of experience OR Master of Science in STEM with 6+ years OR PhD with 4+ years
- Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph at time of application
- Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar security certification
- Experience configuring and implementing Rapid 7, Trellix and Splunk
- Preferred: DoD 8570 IAM II/III (CAP, GLSC, CISSP, CASP CE); IASAE level 1 or higher (CISSP/CASP/CSSLP; CISSP-ISSEP Level III)
- DoD 8500-series and 8510.01 IA directives and knowledge of security procedures, IATT and ATO requirements
- Bachelor or Master or PhD in STEM as stated above
- U.S. Citizenship for government clearance
