Job Summary

Design and hands-on testing of microwave components, cards, and systems, including RF microwave components and phased array applications. Lead technical direction for program activities, managing cost and schedule while interfacing with other IPTs and functions. Coordinate stakeholders on technical decisions and provide proposal writing and presentation support. Integrate and test component level and system level phased array hardware, utilizing electromagnetic simulation tools and analytical skills. Some travel to integration sites and customer facilities may be required. This onsite role in Tewksbury, MA supports the Antenna and Microwave Department's mission to develop new technologies for advanced radar systems in active worldwide deployments.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of ten years of prior relevant experience
  • Microwave/RF system, subsystem and component analysis, design and test
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics' Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab
  • Some travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required

Desired Qualifications

  • Background designing and testing analog CCAs, including frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design and analog filter design
  • Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level
  • Knowledge of cost estimating, plus budget and schedule management
  • Strong academic background that includes courses in: Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory and Radar Systems
  • Strong hands on experience with microwave testing techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)
  • Team leadership skills including cost and schedule management
  • Proposal writing and presentation experience
