Sr. Preconstruction Manager - Renewable Energy

Job Summary
Senior Preconstruction Manager leading all preconstruction activities for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar EPC projects from development through contract execution. Serves as the primary bridge between business development, engineering, estimating, procurement, operations, and clients to ensure projects are technically feasible, commercially competitive, and positioned for successful execution. Responsibilities include developing project execution and construction strategies during proposals and RFP phases; coordinating with EPC teams to identify risks and mitigation strategies; meeting with client management; coordinating with internal teams and third-party engineers to produce civil, structural, and electrical designs for PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems; assisting in area marketing plans and client strategy; evaluating risks, conducting value engineering to reduce LCOE; defining scopes of work, managing vendor bids, and assisting with long-lead procurement; leading training and staff development; maintaining safety and timely delivery; traveling to project sites as needed with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management Civil/Electrical/Architectural Engineering, or similar, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 years’ experience in commercial construction and experience in a variety of marketing and/or sales functions or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of utility-scale solar construction scopes and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Proficiency in scheduling platforms (Primavera P6), estimating systems, and document control tools like Procore
