Job Summary
Senior Practice Accountant responsible for supporting month-end close and financial reporting within a functional pod, including preparation/review of journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure US GAAP compliance. Serves as SME within their area, mentors staff accountants, partners with Practice Accounting Operations to analyze results, and supports the integration of new physicians and service lines with opening balance sheets and accrual conversion. Hybrid role based in Nashville, TN, requiring collaboration across pods, process improvements, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Master’s degree preferred)
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices
- Strong proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience (Workday preferred)
- Active CPA license strongly preferred
- Prior experience mentoring or reviewing work of junior staff a plus
