Job Summary
The Sr. Power Systems Engineer provides expertise in power system design, studies, quality analysis, and engineering documentation for various electrical installations. Key responsibilities include conducting engineering assessments, performing studies such as short-circuit calculations and harmonic analysis, preparing reports, and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and project management skills. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 10 years of experience and familiarity with power system analysis software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in power systems engineering studies
- Experience with power system analysis software such as ETAP or equivalent
- Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of industry standards including ANSI, IEEE, CEC, NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA
Desired Qualifications
- Protection relay testing and commissioning
- Control systems design
- PLC/HMI programming
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
