Job Summary
Sr. Power Supply Design Engineer responsible for designing and delivering high-power, high-efficiency AC/DC and DC/DC power solutions. Lead design reviews, optimize high-density power supplies, develop power shelves and test systems, drive performance and quality improvements, perform second-source qualification, analyze RMA failure root causes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development. Requires extensive hands-on experience with switching mode power supply design, Totem Pole PFC, Battery Backup Unit design, 3-phase PFC, PMBus/I2C, transformer/inductor design, and strong control-loop expertise.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in switching mode power supply design
- Experience with OCP ORV3 Power Shelf or ORV3 PSU design
- Totem Pole PFC development
- BBU design experience including battery charger and high-power/high-density DC/DC converters
- AC input 3-phase PFC development (preferred)
- High-power brick DC/DC converter development
- Control loop design
- PMBus and I2C familiarity
