Job Summary
Optimize inventory levels by managing safety stock, monitoring excess and obsolete inventory, and adjusting purchase orders to support production requirements while meeting supplier delivery targets. Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity planning to align production with customer demand and business objectives. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics—including On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, and past-due orders—to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Prepare performance reports and dashboards for leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommending corrective actions to improve operational performance. Lead production planning activities to ensure on-time product delivery while balancing customer demand, supplier performance, inventory, and material availability. Act as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to develop and execute production plans.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- JD/PhD in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 6 + years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Good overall knowledge and understanding of the product
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD)
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and capacity planning processes
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP preferred)
