Job Summary
Design and execute performance, load, and stress testing for large-scale IRS applications while monitoring system metrics and analyzing application behavior under load. Develop test plans, scripts, and scenarios, then collaborate with developers, admins, and business analysts to define performance requirements. Document results, identify system bottlenecks, and provide actionable tuning recommendations to ensure scalability and reliability. Ensure all activities comply with IRS standards and federal guidelines. Requires active IRS MBI clearance, 5+ years of experience, and expertise with tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
Required Qualifications
- Must have active IRS MBI clearance with IRS laptop and badge
- 5+ years of performance testing experience
- Hands-on expertise with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or NeoLoad
- Strong SQL skills for backend validation and test data prep
- Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud environments and monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk)
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
