Job Summary
Sr. Pension Consulting Actuary - EB role supervising and reviewing client projects including funding valuations, government filings, benefit calculations, nondiscrimination testing, etc. Manages project staff, budgets, and deadlines; leads, directs, and supervises actuarial analysts. Provides superior communication to clients regarding project implications and potential solutions. Inspires a collaborative team environment and growth through knowledge sharing. Hybrid role based in the Chicago office.
Required Qualifications
- EA required
- ASA, FSA, or FCA a plus
- 10+ years of multiemployer pension actuarial experience at the consultant level
- Working knowledge of cash balance pension plans, multiemployer or public pension, and OPEB plans
- Familiarity with ProVal
- Strong communication skills, including client consulting, presentations, and publications
- Hands-on programming / technical / modeling abilities
