Job Summary
Execute and review payroll meticulously, guaranteeing accuracy in deduction and tax calculations for 300+ employees. Maintain thorough payroll data, conduct reconciliations of tax liabilities and benefit deductions, and oversee time and attendance systems. Resolve inquiries from employees and stakeholders while managing garnishment procedures and generating reports for decision-making. Assist with prevailing wage and certified payroll compliance, including submitting weekly and monthly reporting to General Contractors and DIR. Ensure adherence to all company, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Associates of the Arts or Associates of Science in accounting
- at least five (5) years of experience processing payroll for 300+ employees, in Construction
- Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage payroll
- Union construction payroll experience
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and union laws
- strong excel skills including lookup functions and pivot tables
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 10-Key data entry
- Must be coachable and open to feedback and improvement
- Strong communication and comprehension

- Must keep abreast of all company, state, and federal regulations or laws at all times
Desired Qualifications
- ADP Workforce Now and COINS experience
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- A CPP (Certified Payroll Practitioner) certification
