Job Summary
Draft, review, and revise real estate documents including leases, amendments, and purchase agreements. Coordinate execution, notarization, and distribution of transaction documents while managing deal checklists and timelines from inception through closing. Review title commitments, surveys, and environmental reports to prepare issue lists and support risk identification. Maintain lease files, track key dates, and assist with lease interpretation. Assemble closing binders, ensure proper document storage, and maintain real estate data in lease management systems. Generate reports on portfolio activity and coordinate outside counsel and vendors. Identify process improvements and serve as a key point of contact for internal inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate documentation and transaction processes
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and operate with a high degree of independence
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functions
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical, business-friendly terms
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or a related field
- Minimum 5–7+ years of progressively responsible paralegal experience, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions
- Demonstrated experience supporting leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, and transaction management with minimal supervision
- Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job
- Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- AI proficiency to maximize efficiency and streamline processes
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred
- Experience with lease management software (e.g., Tririga) preferred
- Experience reviewing title, survey, and due diligence materials preferred
