Sr. OT Network Engineer

Job Summary

Lead the deployment and adoption of OT network infrastructure while supporting secure, resilient architectures for industrial and manufacturing environments. Design and implement network solutions incorporating cybersecurity requirements, including segmentation, IDMZ, and access control practices. Provide escalation support for network incidents, coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and vendors, and assist with network standards, implementation practices, and documentation. Mentor local IT support teams and operational staff on OT network fundamentals and troubleshooting. Contribute to project planning, cutovers, maintenance activities, and operational readiness while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective network solutions. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; and/or commensurate work experience
  • 10+ years of progressive network engineering experience
  • Experience supporting OT, industrial, or manufacturing network environments
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking and secure network design
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in high-availability environments
  • Experience supporting deployments, maintenance windows, cutovers, and operational support activities
  • Experience with industrial or manufacturing wireless networking
  • Strong hands-on experience in enterprise and OT networking within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, redundancy, firewalls, secure connectivity, and network segmentation
  • Experience with IDMZ architecture, high-availability network design, and OT cybersecurity practices
  • Experience supporting plant-floor, automation, edge-connected systems, and industrial network connectivity
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support high-availability production environments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with IT, plant engineering, operations, and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to train and mentor local support personnel and operational teams
  • Limited travel may be required

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with automation, controls, or industrial systems networking is preferred
  • Experience supporting large-scale OT network deployments or plant modernization is preferred
  • CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or other networking/security certifications are preferred
