Job Summary
Senior Oracle DBA responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases within a fast-paced, high-security program. Primary duties include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, monitoring data, patching via IAVA, troubleshooting and resolving database problems, and developing/maintaining database scripts and queries. Translate requirements into usable database schemas, design/implement practices to optimize performance of Oracle/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra), and support lifecycle activities ensuring compliance with business requirements. Must possess extensive Oracle experience, strong SQL/PLSQL capabilities, and a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance at Day One; preferred experience with Oracle Data Guard/Streams/GoldenGate and SAFe/agile teams. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 20 years of experience OR Master's with 15–20 years OR Doctorate with 13–16 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience may be substituted for a degree
- Must have at least ten (10) years of demonstrated experience as a database administrator
- Must have at least ten (10) years of Oracle Database Administration experience
- Must have in-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security
- Must have in-depth experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring
- Must have experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software
- Must have experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL
- Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph on Day One (this is firm)
- Experience with real time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team
- Extensive, in-depth experience with database design and development
- Experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general
- Experience with Mongo and/or Cassandra
