Job Summary
Sr. Oracle Database Administrator needed to administer and support Oracle 19c databases in Data Guard configurations (primary and standbys), manage Data Guard Broker, configure FSFO with observers, perform patching and validation, monitor health with OEM, execute switchover/failover, troubleshoot Data Guard issues, and maintain RMAN backups including FRA/flashback. Must have strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills, experience with RAC, patch lifecycle, security controls, and monitoring, plus the ability to work in a SCIF with TS/SCI clearance. Located at an Oracle SCIF in Maryland or contractor facility in Columbia, with one day per week on customer site; requires 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, BS in CS or related field, and Security+ CE.
Required Qualifications
- Current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance to apply
- BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
- 10+ years Oracle database administration experience in large-scale/enterprise environments
- Extensive experience with Oracle 19c, RAC, RMAN backup & recovery, Data Guard and Data Guard Broker
- Experience with Data Guard and FSFO in multi-standby configurations
- Experience with Oracle patching (RU/CPU) and lifecycle management
- Proficient in Linux administration and shell scripting
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control and performance monitoring (OEM, AWR/ASH)
- Experience with multi-site observer configurations
- Security+ CE required
- SYS3 PRIVAC level (desired)
- Strong independent work and communication skills
- Role requires working in a SCIF environment with a TS/SCI clearance (to apply)
