Job Summary
Senior Ophthalmic Technician supports physicians in delivering high-quality eye care, managing patient flow, coordinating administrative tasks, and performing pre-examination testing and advanced diagnostic procedures (e.g., OCT, fundus photography, A-scan, B-scan, keratometry, tonometry). Responsibilities include clinical scribing in EMR, administering ocular medications, assisting during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and maintaining clinic organization with rotating shifts. Preferred OSC or COA certifications to be completed within specified timelines; rotating schedule includes days, evenings, and weekends; hourly pay rate listed as $27.50.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Skilled in problem-solving with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in computer use
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
