Job Summary
Directly supervise the 1st shift operations team, ensuring safe and efficient execution of all distribution center activities including material flow, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment. Act as the primary escalation point for operational, inventory, customer service, and employee issues while optimizing labor utilization and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to maintain seamless workflows and monitor key performance indicators related to safety, productivity, and quality. Lead root-cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and support Lean Six Sigma efforts to reduce operational costs and improve service levels. Maintain proficiency in warehouse management systems and operate powered industrial equipment as required. Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, on-site in Louisville, KY.
Required Qualifications
- Reside and be authorized to work within the United States
- Report on-site in Louisville, KY
- Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing operations
- 2+ years of leadership experience supervising hourly employees, team leads, and/or front-line supervisors
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel & Teams
- Ability to analyze operational data and leverage metrics to improve performance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Push, pull, lift and/ or carry up to 50 lbs
- Bend, squat, and reach
- Stand and/or walk for long periods of time (8-10 hr. shifts)
- Use of hands and fingers to operate equipment and/ or hand tools
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Experience working in an automated distribution environment utilizing WMS platforms, conveyors, and advanced material handling systems
- Experience leading operations in a high-volume distribution or fulfillment center
- Experience with receiving and kitting functions
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Warehousing, 5S, or Six Sigma principles
- Relevant certifications in operations, logistics, supply chain management, or continuous improvement
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience with Exacta Warehouse Management System
