Job Summary
Senior Operations Manager oversees the flow of product through the distribution/warehouse facility, directing a team of Operations Supervisors to ensure safe, efficient movement of inventory, forecasting production volume, and adjusting resources to meet store demand. Leads the team to achieve or exceed KPI targets, resolves complex operational issues escalated from the team, and communicates business objectives and daily workload plans to team and senior leadership. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years (or 7+ years with increasing responsibilities) in distribution center/warehouse operations, strong leadership and mentoring skills, safety emphasis, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems. May be asked to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on facility needs; must be capable of lifting 25 lbs and up to 70 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field plus 3 years of experience in distribution center operations or related area OR 7 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or related area with increasing responsibilities
- Leadership experience with direct report responsibility, including leading salary level direct reports
- Experience mentoring and coaching others
- Experience leading a team through change
- Proven record of complying with safety requirements, and experience building a culture of safety among subordinates and peers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems
